aerospaceHV can provide you with the engineering support you require as you develop new high voltage components and systems.

With experience of cabling, connectors, electrical machines and power electronics we can help identify potential design weaknesses and test programmes to mitigate these weaknesses. We can provide support through face-to-face interaction with your engineering teams or through teleconferencing facilities.

Reviews Of Proposed Component / System Designs:

Our review of new designs will identify potential weaknesses. The review will consider the voltage levels that exist through the system, the environmental conditions in which it operates and the insulation thicknesses / design. Where necessary use can be made of specialist tools such as finite element analysis.

Software & Design tools:

We use a range of standard software products to support customers as they develop new high voltage systems. Our engineering staff are skilled in the use of a range of standard software products including Solidworks, Matlab and COMSOL (electrostatics, electromagnetic and thermal analysis). In addition to these standard software packages we have a number of bespoke design tools that can help you as you design equipment that will operate at high voltages in an aerospace environment.

Failure investigation:

Should you experience failures in high voltage components, we can carry out a review of potential causes and work with you to alter designs as required.
