One of our core competencies is the delivery of high voltage and high current testing. Many of our engineering staff have experience gained within the HV laboratories of The University of Manchester and our work in this area is overseen by our Technical Director.
A common question that we are asked is whether it is possible to evaluate the lifetime of an insulation system. This is challenging as in a real application a system sees a diverse set of stress factors that are difficult to replicate in the laboratory.
It is always preferable to partial discharge components (such as winding wires and power electronic modules) before they are designed into a system.
